Waking up to utter silence , with the exception of the sounds of nature, some birds serenading and maybe even a spurting river, is pure magic. You get to discover your own precious little piece of heaven. Better still, camping is totally safe. One of my favorite things to do while camping is meditate. Meditating in nature is such a calming and glorious experience. All you need is a mat and a few minutes to yourself. Meditation helps to lower stress and calms the mind.
Less Stress!
Stress will adversely affect your health in just about every way possible and by allowing yourself some stress-free time at the campsite you place a lot less pressure on your mental and physical faculties. The lack of stress is attributed to the rise in oxygen levels and low serotonin.
Exercise!
Let’s not dismiss the strongest camping advantage that’s that you’re spending a lot of time doing physical activities. And if you’re on a fishing trip, you ‘re burning up more calories than you’d be consuming sitting in an office. Whether you’re hiking or running, you ‘re doing a cardiovascular workout that helps keep your heart and lungs safe. Your level of activity will vary but hikers typically burn from 120-300 calories per hour. No doubt you have quite an enthusiasm to work up during a long camping trip.
