Foot pads for your dogs paws are helpful to prevent burning on dry hot terrain.

Dogs are woman’s best friend, so of course we want to bring our pup along on our camping trip. It’s so important to have the right accessories when camping with your dog to ensure they are safe and happy. I have created a list of must have items when bringing fluffy along for the journey.

Check out my other article https://lovenaturegirl.com/camping-with-your-furry-friend/ for some tips and advice on how to have a great time with your dog while camping.

Food: Make sure to bring plenty of dog food. Some dogs get a veracious appetite from playing and exploring all day, so make sure to bring a little extra. Other dogs lose their appetites being in an unknown place, so bring a couple of tasty treats to mix in with the food to wet their whistle.

First-Aid: Dogs are likely to get injured camping and hiking. It is necessary to bring a first-aid kit with items like tweezers, antiseptic, antibiotic ointment, gauze, etc. Also, make sure to bring pet safe allergy meds in case your pup gets stung by a bee or runs into an allergen.

Food/Water Bowls: Water is an essential for your dog. Make sure to bring bowls for food and water, and continue to refill and keep clean throughout the day. Your dog will likely work up a huge thirst from all of the excitement.

Collar/ Leash: Make sure your dogs has a collar on at all time. It is also a good idea to have the identification tags on the collar in case Mr. Sprinkles gets lost. Most campgrounds have a leash rule, so keep one on you at all times when hiking or wandering the park with your dog.

Remember to have up-to-date tags for your dog in case you get separated.

Waste Bags: Dog waste bags aka poop bags are necessary to clean up after your dog. Always clean up after your pet!

Dog Bed: Your pets’ comfort is just as important as your own. In order for your dog to feel safe they require a safe space or bed to sleep in. Bring your dogs favorite blanket or bed and set up a space that is all their own to feel comfortable in. If it is cold, make sure your dog has plenty of warmth from blankets or heating pads.

Remember to pack all of these essential items for your pup and you and your furry friend will have a great time camping!
