Hi! Nature Girl here to tell you why I think tent camping is better than RV camping. If you are thinking, “I can’t live without AC”, You are totally right. Air conditioning is one of the greatest inventions. I get it. But what if we didn’t always have it. Try to go 24 hours without AC on an especially hot day and you will be more grateful than you’ve ever been when you kick it back on.
The thing about life is, you tend to only remember to be grateful when you can’t have something or are deprived of something or an action. This is especially true when in the wilderness. You become grateful. Grateful to have a comfortable bed, grateful for your refrigerator, grateful to have a clean bathroom, you get the point. Things tend to slow down in the wild and eventually come into perspective.
Yes, you can have a great experience camping in an RV, but you can’t have the FULL experience. An RV is a waste of space and quite frankly loud and obtrusive.
I don’t know if anyone has told you, but you really don’t need a couch, TV, and a full kitchen to go camping. The essentials are all you need to have an adventurist and introspective experience. I whole heartedly believe that tent camping is superior to RV camping for this reason. Another good point is not all campgrounds allow RVs or trailers. Some of the coolest parks are primitive tent camping only.
So, grab your tent, pack the essentials and go have an adventure today!
Love,
Nature Girl
